Kusi Warma Association (Quechua: Happy Child) is a peruvian non-governmental organization that works to defend the rights of the poorest and most excluded children of Peru. On June 2nd 1997, we became the first peruvian NGO daughter of Terre des Hommes de Lausanne, Switzerland, an international organization that works for children’s rights. For the last 21 years we have intervened in different contexts of poverty in Peru, always in direct interaction with children, adolescents, their families and both public and private social organizations to raise awareness about the importance of holistic development of early childhood, childcare and good treatment, as well as contributing specifically to the construction of dignified living conditions, access to adequate education, health, food and nutrition and a harmonious life within the family and the community environment.
